Lieutenant General İlhan Talu, Chief of Personnel of General Staff, claimed that he locked himself up in his room on the night of the insurgency and waited there until 01:00 p.m. However, surveillance cameras at the headquarters revealed that he left of his room around 01:00 a.m. and escorted putschist soldiers to the command floor.

Pilot Kerime Kumaş, who landed at the Vodafone Arena with a group of putschist soldiers and saved the other putschist soldiers from Bosphorus Bridge said, "I learned later that the incident was a coup attempt, but I still followed the orders."

Hüseyin Türk — Hüseyin Türk

Pilot Hüseyin Türk who bombed the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Building twice on the night of the coup attempt, confessed in his statement that he made the shootings according to the coordinates taken by fleet radio and that he bombed TÜRKSAT first.

Bekir Ercan Van — Bekir Ercan Van

İncirlik 10th Tanker Base Commander Brigaider Gen. Bekir Ercan helped refuel F-16s which bombed the Parliament Building and Presidential Complex during the coup attempt. He made an asylum request from the USA after the attempt failed.

Taner Berber, member of the team that carried out the Marmaris attack, gave very significant information regarding the assassination attempt in his statement where he stated that the orders were given by Gökhan Şahin Sönmezateş.

Fatih Akbulut provided refuelıng to fighter jets which martyred police officers and civilians by dropping bombs on the Special Operations Department and Gendarmerie General Command.

Ahmet Akalın, who attended the meetings where FETÖ members planned the July 15 coup attempt, confessed the decisions taken by putschist regarding President Erdoğan.

Major Şükrü Seymen, who coordinated with the squad who organized the assassination attempt of President Erdoğan and martyred police officer Mehmet Çetin at the hotel which was raided. Seymen stole money and wallets from two cops who were martyred during the attack.

İsmail Güneşer — İsmail Güneşer

İsmail Güneşer, who is listed as martial law commander in the so-called assignment list, called Mustafa Kızılkaya, the Police Commissioner of Bolu, and gave the order “I’m the martial law commander, intervene.”
