Originally from Ardahan, Hakkı Aras, who was martyred during the attacks on the night of July 15 by FETÖ putschists, was a father of one. 47-year-old Aras, who was self-employed, rushed to streets upon the news of the coup attempt. Aras, who resisted the putschists on Vatan Street, was martyred by the gunfire of the putschists.
Aras, who had an 8-year-old daughter, left home upon the call of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at 01.30. Aras, who arrived to Vatan Street, reports on his last video record, “These cannot be our soldiers. They opened fire on us."
“He left without seeing her daughter for the last time”
The bad news reached the martyr’s mother, Güleser Kaya, at 10.00 in the morning. The mother, who saw her son for the last time during holiday, stated, “My son separated from his wife, and was going to move beside me. But it didn’t happen. That night, he called his brothers to not go out, but he left. My son couldn’t work, due to lung cancer. He had been doing electricity and plumbing tasks before. He had no money, but he would share everything. My son left without seeing his daughter for the last time.”
The July 15th martyr Hakkı Aras was buried after his funeral prayer was held at the Altınşehir Meydan Mosque.
