Three PKK terrorists were "neutralized" on Monday in an air-backed operation in eastern Bingöl province, according to a governor's office statement.
Turkish authorities often use the word "neutralized" in their statements to imply the terrorists in question either surrendered or were killed or captured.
Governor's Office in Bingol said the terrorists, one of them captured in injured condition, were detected in the rural areas of Genc district after intelligence works of the Provincial Gendarmerie Command and National Intelligence Service (MIT).
The operation in the region is ongoing, it added.
In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- has been responsible for the deaths of some 40,000 people, including women and children.
