Mustafa, an animated film on the childhood of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, Türkiye's founding father, premiered in Germany and Austria on Saturday.
Ilker Okan Sanli, Türkiye's consul general in Berlin, attended the first screening and watched the film with children.
Sanli praised the new production, saying: "My son and I found the movie very successful. We hope to see more movies like this to inform children growing up abroad.”
Ali Fidan, the CEO of AF Media, which distributes the film, said the film is showing in 39 cinemas across Germany and Austria and will debut in the Netherlands on Nov. 21 and Norway on Nov. 23.
Some 2 million or more immigrants with Turkish backgrounds live in Germany, while Austria has some 360,000, according to estimates.
