Metehan Başar bags medal in men's greco-roman style, 87-kg category final in World Wrestling Championships in Budapest
Turkish wrestler Metehan Başar won the gold medal in World Wrestling Championships in Hungarian capital Budapest on Saturday.
Başar claimed the medal after beating Ukranie’s Zhan Beleniuk in the men’s greco-roman style 87-kilogram category final match.
He beat his opponent 2-1 and gained his second world championship title.
Başar won the gold medal at Paris World Championships in August 2017 and the silver in the European Wrestling Championship in Serbia on May 2017.
