7-0 win keeps Fenerbahce's title hopes alive
Fenerbahce dominated already-relegated Karabukspor by a score of 7-0 Monday evening to keep title hopes alive.
The match at Karabuk Stadium saw the Istanbul club start off aggressive as they built a 4-0 lead by halftime.
With three more goals in the second half, Fenerbahce managed to equalize the goal averages of leaders Galatasaray with one game left to play in the Turkish Super Lig.
Fenerbahce's scorers were Fernandao (2), Atif Chahechouhe, Roberto Soldado, Nabil Dirar and Vincent Janssen. An own goal was scored in the 2nd minute.
Galatasaray only need one point in their last match against Goztepethis coming weekend to become Turkish league champions for the 21st time.
Second Fenerbahce and third-place Medipol Basaksehir have to wait for Galatasaray to lose to eventually become champions.
