'We are deeply saddened by the loss of lives caused by Cyclone Chido in Mozambique,' says Turkish Foreign Ministry
Türkiye on Tuesday extended its condolences to Mozambique over the devastation caused by Cyclone Chido.
"We extend our condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and the people of Mozambique," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"We are deeply saddened by the loss of lives caused by Cyclone Chido in Mozambique," the ministry added.

The powerful category 4 storm struck the East African country on Dec. 15, with wind speeds reaching 260 kilometers (160 miles) per hour and dumping nearly 250 millimeters of rain within 24 hours.
The death toll has reached 120, with nearly 900 people injured, according to the National Institute for Disaster Risk Management and Reduction.
The cyclone also caused widespread damage to homes, schools, and healthcare centers, leaving many homeless.
