Başak Eraydın to face Spanish player Paula Badosa in Valencia tournament
Female Turkish tennis player Başak Eraydın advanced to the semifinals in the ITF 6K tournament in Spain’s Valencia, the Turkish Tennis Federation announced on Friday.
Eraydın, 24, won after her Belgian opponent Maryna Zanevska retired due to an injury. Eraydin won the first set 6-1 and was down 3-2 in the second.
She will face Spanish player Paula Badosa in the semifinals of the ITF Womens Circuit with $60,000 prize money.
