Turkish club Basaksehir on Wednesday hinted at the transfer of Mesut Ozil.
In a Twitter post, Basaksehir shared the club President Goksel Gumusdag's 2018 quote about the possible transfer of Ozil: "One day our paths will cross in Basaksehir."
Meanwhile, Fenerbahce announced on its website that Ozil's contract with the club has been mutually terminated.
Ozil, who has played for Real Madrid and Werder Bremen, joined Fenerbahce in 2021 from Arsenal.
The 33-year-old German midfielder was not included in the Yellow Canaries’ main squad lately.
