Turkey is due to play another friendly match with Slovenia before the EURO 2016 starts on June 10

Turkey beat Montenegro 1-0 with a goal scored in extremis on Sunday, in a friendly part of final preparations for the 2016 UEFA European Championship due to start in France on June 10.



Arda Turan assisted Mehmet Topal in the 95th minute, giving the lead to Turkey.



Turkish manager Fatih Terim made a total of six substitutions in a generally carefully played match in New Antalya Stadium, in the Mediterranean Turkish coastal city of the same name.



In another friendly match played on May 22, Turkey was beaten 2-1 by England away.



Six days later, on June 5, Turkey will face Slovenia away in the last friendly ahead of EURO 2016.



Turkey will be in the Group D of EURO 2016 together with Spain, Croatia, and the Czech Republic.



Turkey is due to face Croatia on June 12, Spain on June 17, and the Czech Republic on June 21 in the EURO 2016 group stage.
