5 goals send France to semi-final to face Germany
Hosts France ended Iceland's Euro 2016 dream on Sunday with a 5-2 win that will see them face World Cup holders Germany in the semi-finals.
First-half goals from Olivier Giroud, Paul Pogba, Dimitri Payet and Antoine Griezmann sealed the victory for France.
However, the restart saw Iceland's Kolbeinn Sigthorsson volley a consolation goal on 56 minutes before Giroud headed his second home three minutes later at the Stade de France in Paris. Birkir Bjarnason got a second for Iceland as the final whistle approached.
France will take on Germany in Marseille on July 7 after Portugal face Wales in Lyon in the other semi-final a day earlier.
