Anadolu Efes, Fenerbahce and Darussafaka to play in Euroleague; Galatasaray, TOFAS and Turk Telekom in EuroCup
A total of six teams will represent Turkey in European basketball club competition in the 2018/2019 season, Euroleague announced on Tuesday.
The Euroleague Commercial Assets Shareholders Executive Board (ECA) met to review the commercial strategy, to agree on the 2018-19 competition regulations, and next season’s team lists for the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and the 7DAYS EuroCup.
According to the statement published on the official website of Euroleague, Anadolu Efes, Fenerbahce and Darussafaka will play in Turkish Airlines Euroleague, while Galatasaray, TOFAS and Turk Telekom will play in 7DAYS EuroCup.
Darussafaka became the third Turkish team to participate in the Euroleague's upcoming season after becoming champions in 7DAYS EuroCup in the 2017/2018 tournament.
