Senegal topple Tanzania 2-0 to lead Group C

Senegal won against Tanzania 2-0 in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Group C match in Cairo late Sunday.

Inter Milan's Senegalese winger Keita Balde and Club Brugge midfielder Krepin Diatta were the scorers against Tanzania as Senegal currently top the Group C.

Tanzania lost their first group match.

Earlier Sunday, Morocco beat Namibia 1-0 in Group D match in the Egyptian capital.

Namibian forward Itamunua Keimuine scored an own goal near the end of this game.

Morocco are now leading the Group D.

The 32nd AFCON tournament is held in Egypt -- its fifth time acting as host -- from June 21 to July 19.

This year, the competition has expanded from 16 participating teams to 24.

The top two nations from six groups and the four best third-place nations will qualify for the round of 16.
