Club says Argentine defender underwent surgery on his left ankle
Italian football club AC Milan’s defender Mateo Musacchio will be sidelined for four months due to an ankle injury.
The Argentine player underwent surgery on his left ankle and the expected recovery period is four months, the club said in a statement on Tuesday.
Musacchio, 29, has made 18 appearances for AC Milan this season.
He moved to the Italian side in 2017 after seven years at Spanish club Villarreal, before which he played for Argentina's River Plate.
