The Vice President of Equatorial Guinea convened a meeting with the Ministries of Transport, Mines, and State Attorneys to finalize the clauses of a landmark agreement with the Turkish company Albayrak Group. This historic partnership, set to be signed tomorrow, will oversee the management of the ports of Malabo and Bata for the next 25 years.

The agreement aims to comprehensively modernize Equatorial Guinea's port infrastructure, introducing significant developments such as a free trade zone, a commercial zone, a dry port, and a state-of-the-art passenger terminal. These initiatives are designed to position Equatorial Guinea as a leading regional logistics hub, boosting the country's competitiveness and driving economic diversification.

In addition to enhancing infrastructure, the partnership is expected to deliver substantial benefits for Equatorial Guinea. These include the creation of jobs, the strengthening of international trade, and the attraction of foreign investments that will contribute to the nation’s sustainable economic development. The Vice President emphasized the transformative potential of this agreement, describing it as a milestone for the country’s growth and global standing.

As Equatorial Guinea takes this significant step forward, the collaboration with Albayrak Group underscores the country’s commitment to economic progress, international cooperation, and infrastructure advancement.
