Lebanon reported over 390 Israeli violations of cease-fire deal since Nov. 27
The Israeli army carried out explosions in Naqoura in southern Lebanon on Monday, in the latest violation of a cease-fire deal between Tel Aviv and Beirut.
The Lebanese state news agency NNA did not provide any details about the nature of these explosions.
According to the broadcaster, the Israeli army violated the cease-fire deal 394 times since the agreement came into force on Nov. 27.
The agreement was brokered in the hope of ending over 14 months of fighting between the Israeli army and the Hezbollah group since the start of the Israeli war on Gaza in October 2023.
On Saturday, Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem warned that his group's patience “might run out” over the Israeli violations of the cease-fire.
Under the cease-fire terms, Israel is required to withdraw its forces south of the Blue Line – a de facto border – in phases, while the Lebanese army is to deploy in southern Lebanon within 60 days.
Data from the Lebanese Health Ministry indicates that since Israel's onslaught against Lebanon began on Oct. 8, 2023, at least 4,063 people have been killed, including women, children, and health workers, while 16,664 others have been injured.
