Ankara will host the 7th International Cinema and Philosophy Symposium on Dec. 7-8.
The symposium, which will be organized in collaboration with SineFilozofi journal, will take place at the CerModern art gallery in the Turkish capital Ankara.
The symposium aims to offer an in-depth look at the social, political, and philosophical dimensions of cinema, according to a statement by CerModern.
It will bring together those who want to explore the intersection of cinema and philosophy, it added.
The keynote speakers of the symposium will be Mike Wayne, author of Political Film, Chiara Quaranta, who works on cinema on the axis of philosophy, ethics, and aesthetics, and Cristobal Escobar, known for his innovative work in the field of film philosophy.
As part of the symposium, two great masters of cinema, Semih Kaplanoglu and Christian Petzold, will also meet with moviegoers.
