American rapper Ye, better known as Kanye West, has reportedly been removed from a lineup of this year’s Grammy Awards performers due to his "concerning online behavior.”

The decision by the Recording Academy came after Ye hurled racial slurs at comedian Trevor Noah, who is slated to host the annual music awards show next month, according to a spokesperson for the artist.

The decision also comes in light of Ye's ongoing abusive and inappropriate messages directed at his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her partner, comedian Pete Davidson.

Ye was briefly suspended from Instagram last week after he used a racial slur against Noah in a post over comments Noah made about West’s behavior towards his ex-wife and her partner.

Ye is nominated for five 2022 Grammys, including album of the year and best rap song. To date, he has won 22 Grammys and has a total of 75 nominations.

Last August, the rapper applied to have his legal name changed from Kanye Omari West to Ye, with no middle or last name for personal reasons. He said Ye is the most commonly used word in the Bible.
